Wyoming Youth Football Association

6th Grade

My name is Lonnie Grayson, and I am the Head Coach of the Wyoming Youth Football (WYFA) 6th grade team for the 2016 season.  I also hold the position of Vice President of WYFA.   I am married to Erica and have three wonderful children, Laila, Lonnie II, and Lance. Since 2002 I have served as the President and CEO of a locally based Environmental, Health and Safety Consulting Company.  I have enjoyed coaching basketball, baseball and football since 2003.    I have coached football with WYFA since 2007, and have seen the WYFA program become an excellent place to develop young people into productive thriving citizens. I consider it an honor to develop young people well outside of the x’s and o’s of football.   Our coaching staff is an excellent group of fathers with the same vision of preparing the kids to become all that they can be on and off of the football field.

Over the past 5 years I have enjoyed winning each of our championship games.  Since becoming the Head Coach of the now fifth grade team, we have not lost a SOYFAI game.  As we move into our 6th grade year, one of our goals is to continue to measure ourselves by how well our least experienced player plays.  Our coaches are highly dedicated to coaching the basics of football, getting the kids into the best shape, supporting the kids in making the best grades in school and being competitive on the field.  If you are looking for a great place that will take care of and develop your child in the sport of football with a strong inference on total childhood development, then this would be a great fit for your family.
